Question: I just bought this game and don’t know which faction to join.

Answer: Personally I enjoyed working for the NDF the most. They are also the most difficult. General Tormens missions are very easy and are a good starter. Working for the Smugglers of Cali-Cantinos is a cozy middle difficulty level.

Question: I cannot use the medi kit. Help!

Answer: To use the midi kit you must place it in your hands. Then right click on the ground and a red cross will show. Hover the red cross over the person you want to heal (yourself or a merc) and left click. Healing is not instantaneous. If in battle, find a good spot to heal so you won’t be killed.

Question: I am in the town but the store won’t sell to me.

Answer: The shop keepers, bankers, mayors, and the spokesperson for each faction only work from 9am to about 9pm. If you aren’t in the time range they won’t talk to you. To speed up the time press “M”, and click the play button making sure the speed scrollbar is all the way to the right. Then press the pause button and then “M” again to return to the game.

Question: It takes forever to walk from one end of the sector to another. How can I bypass this?

Answer: Press the plus key, “+”, and you can accelerate the game by 5x. Once there you can decelerate the game by pressing the minus key “-“. Decelerating a game is also handy for new users as it slows down the action considerably allowing for more time to think about strategy.
